Bo Peep’s edgy style transformation inspires Aussie designer

Effie Kats reveals power suits inspired by Toy Story 4 heroine.

From a polka-dot skirt to power-suit jumpsuit, Bo Peep has had quite the style transformation in Disney and Pixar’s Toy Story 4. After being MIA in the last Toy Story movie, Bo has returned as a free-spirited lost toy with some serious style cred.

We’re not the only ones totally digging Bo’s new threads. Aussie fashion designer Effie Kats has designed a series of custom-made power-suits inspired by Bo Peep.

“To collaborate with Disney has been an absolute dream come true for me,” Kats told Disney.

“I dress inspiring and independent women just like the adventurous Bo Peep every day so it’s fantastic to be able to re-imagine the style of this iconic character through fashion.”

Showing off the designs at the Australian premiere of Disney and Pixar’s Toy Story 4, Kats was joined by comedian Tanya Hennessy and entertainment reporter Brooke Boney.

“All three looks are what I imagine the modern-day Bo Peep would wear. I could definitely see them in her wardrobe.”

Let’s take a closer look at each of the designs

Tanya Hennessy’s pantsuit featured a reversible silk satin skirt that transformed into a cape, complete with Bo’s signature pink bow.

Brooke Boney’s suit was modern adaptation of Bo Peep’s outfit and payed homage to the ruffle on her pants. Made of a silk satin, the suit captured Bo’s signature colour hues of light blue and pink.

Effie Kats’ suit is made of a deep purple silk satin and was inspired entirely by Bo-Peep’s cape.
