Ok, we’re pretty excited about this one. The Hundreds—a SoCal streetwear brand known for their blend of surf, skate, and hip-hop cultures—just released a new collection around the 1988 classic Disney film Who Framed Roger Rabbit. They’ve been building anticipation and hype around the launch on Instagram for weeks, and well, it worked. The collection makes us super nostalgic, with graphics of Jessica and Roger Rabbit on everything from red overalls and dad hats to tees, hoodies, jackets, and pins. To understand why this collection is so unique, you’ll have to get to know The Hundreds a little more. The brand’s mentality is all about “people, not product”. To co-founder Bobby Hundreds, streetwear isn’t about clothing, it’s about what you learn from the streets and about street life culture. He said in a recent Instagram post about the launch,
We’ve been working on this collaboration with Disney for over a decade (In fact, this was the original proposal before our Peter Pan Lost Boys project – if you were around for that one). If you wanna know why it’s taken so long, just [check] the back story on the movie. So many people, studios, and legends came together to make [the film] happen and the same goes for our collaboration.
We’ve picked up our favorites already. Which are yours?
