Ahoy! You may love the look of the new Pirates of the Caribbean film but, if we’re honest, the outfits don’t translate well to modern day living. So, how do you put together a chic, sleek pirate-inspired look in 2017?
We’ve done the hard work for you and assembled three swashbuckling looks based on a few of our favourite characters from Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales. Whether you are heading out with friends, kicking back at a cafe or setting sail into the sunset with your significant other, we think you’ll radiate nautical style.
LOOK #1: Inspired by Will Turner
Considered the more stylish of the trio below, Will Turner knows a thing or two about looking the part. Take a simple black tee with cuffed jeans, add a neutral toned scarf and funky beanie to keep you warm and in style. Blues, greys and blacks are the key to this fab Autumn look. Keep accessories in the same tones to make for a natural fit.
LOOK #2: Inspired by Jack Sparrow
Iconic, fearless and original, Captain Jack stands out from the crowd and so will you with this confident yet casually bohemian look. Dress up this vintage-style tee with brighter accessories to make this look really pop – scarves, sunnies and boots will all help take this style up a level. We’ve chosen earthy red, pink and brown tones to keep it sensationally seasonal .
LOOK #3: Inspired by Captain Salazar
Salazar is a veteran of the sea, a strong force of nature and those ghost sharks of his are just too cool! We think we’ve captured Salazar’s steely determination in this one, taking distressed jeans for a weathered look and complementing them with a slate-grey tee and dark accessories. Blues and blacks are your friends, while nautical elements like these navy and white-striped socks keep this on-trend at sea, or on land if your ship happens to be elsewhere.
There you have it – three pirate-inspired looks that are certified street worthy! Which is your favourite, tell us in the comments?
