It’s been a whirlwind of excitement at Star Wars Celebration, especially with the reveal today of the first teaser for Star Wars: The Last Jedi. But, there was a bit of Disney Parks merchandise news that we didn’t want you to miss, especially because it involves one of our faves, Her Universe! Yesterday, at the Disney Parks & Star Wars Merchandise panel, Ashley Eckstein surprised fans with loads of new designs that are exclusively coming to the Disney Parks later this year. And trust us, you aren’t going to want to miss out on these.
First, there’s a beautiful Tatooine dress that features Luke Skywalker and the Millennium Falcon off in the distance. We’re also obsessed with that cute Endor tank, and wait a second … is that an AT-AT poodle skirt? Yes, all our of Star Wars vintage-inspired dreams are coming true, because Her Universe is making Star Wars poodle skirts.
For BB-8 fans, there’s plenty to look forward too with a new tee, hoodie, and poodle skirt. If you don’t think we’ll be wearing that BB-8 poodle skirt every day, you’d definitely be mistaken.
There’s also a cute raglan tee with everyone’s favorite Star Wars quote, as well as a new jacket inspired by the vest that Rey wears at the end of Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Ashley combine the vest with Rey’s signature Jakku look to create a one-of-a-kind outfit.
If you were obsessed with Her Universe and Ashley Taylor’s Mary Blair-inspired Star Wars pieces, you’re in luck. Eckstein and Taylor collaborated on a new tee inspired by Taylor’s vanity series, which features Leia. It will be available as a print and a shirt at the Wonderground Gallery and Marketplace Co-Op at Disney Springs in May.
And it turns out Her Universe has more than just Star Wars in store for fans! Later this year, Her Universe will have designs inspired by the Haunted Mansion (!!!). Here are the mock-ups for a dress and caplet inspired by the stretching room portrait. Yes, we’re dying to own this (all puns intended).
Ashley Taylor and Her Universe are also collaborating on another Haunted Mansion dress inspired by the ballroom scene. We love the vintage-inspired style, and the ghostly illustrations are sure to be beautiful.
Last, and certainly not least, Mad. Tea. Party. Skirts. You know Ashley Eckstein is a huge Alice in Wonderland fan, so it’s perfect that Her Universe is behind these Alice-inspired pieces. We also love the Doormouse on the matching cardigan. Too cute!
All of these items will be available exclusively at the Disney Parks later this year. Which design is your favorite? Tell us in the comments below!
