When we say that designers are often inspired by Disney, we quite literally mean it. Proof came this past weekend in the form of the Gucci’s Menswear Spring 2017 collection. The brand’s designer Alessandro Michele created a collection based on the cultural journeys of the mind. This included one of our most beloved characters, Donald Duck.
Michele grew up watching the whacky adventures of Donald and his uncle Scrooge McDuck, which inspired him to add Donald into the looks. While one piece, a major leather bomber-style jacket, shows a large appliqué of Donald, others are a bit more hidden. As we mentioned just a few days ago, Donald Duck is definitely having a menswear moment, and we’re loving the results.
