You guys, it’s December. We made it. Honestly, what’s not to love about the month of December? It’s bright, cheerful, and filled with love and joy for the holidays!
Recently, I was asked what I was hoping for for the holidays and I realized I hadn’t really thought about it yet. While I’ve been slowly but surely checking gifts for friends and family off my list, I needed a little inspiration for myself. So, I asked a few folks on our team what they have at the top of their wish lists to get some ideas.
Robin, Disney Family Content Strategist: "I’m obsessed with these fluffy little cuties, and have found every excuse to create porg content for Disney Family. Thus, I need this adorable top. Not only does it feature the Star Wars species, but it’s also SO my style – with a peter pan collar, offering the perfect vintage flair."
Ashley, Babble Editorial Coordinator: “I’m a big fan of #MinnieStyle fashion and I literally live in denim jackets, so of course this jacket was total love at first sight for me. I’m DYING to get my hands on this piece and am already squealing in excitement as I imagine all of the outfit possibilities that would pair so well with this."
Jordan, shopDisney Social Strategist: "I’ve spent months looking for the right thing to tie my living room together, and (finally) found it! Really, what more could you ask for during the holidays than a warm, cozy blanket that matches with everything and is perfect for movie night? Fingers crossed …"
Taylor, Social Strategist: "If you make it through the holidays without getting a cozy new PJ set, did you even celebrate the holidays at all? UNIQLO is probably my go-to place for Disney basics, and this Winnie the Pooh pajama set is all I want to wear for the rest of winter! Cuddly bear + cuddly PJs = everything!"
Heather, Babble Coordinator: "I have been dreaming about this Cogsworth Clock for months and I’m hoping Santa will finally get the message and bring it to me this holiday season. He’d be the perfect addition to my color-coded bookcase. And I mean, who wouldn’t want an actually functional clock of the sassiest Beauty and the Beast character?"
Mel, Disney Family Editor: "This Sounds of Disney Mickey pullover from UNIQLO is on the top of my wish list. For me, there's something perfectly cozy, and yet just enough Type A about a crew neck sweatshirt. I can’t get enough of them, especially when I’m up early running off to a Disney Family shoot. I’d wear it with some wide leg cropped pants and mules to rep some Mickey magic on set."
Sheri, Pixar Senior Social Strategist: "Love, love, love these! Such a precious pair to wear to Disneyland, or work, or brunch, or life in general. Okay, I also just realized these are bubblegum-scented. NEED."
Nicole, Disney Style Editor: "I love pieces that are subtle, but still have something Disney to the design. This Frozen-inspired purse has the rosemaling pattern that we all love from the film, but is perfect to mix in with your everyday wear."
Mariana, Oh My Disney Content Strategist: "It came as a surprise to me that this year, all I want for the holidays is … socks. Luckily, there are so many cute and colorful varieties out there that my friends and family should not have a hard time fulfilling this request. These Snow White Woodland Creature Socks by Stance are at the top of my wish list!"
Kelly, Pixar Social Strategist: "Ever since watching Coco, I’ve had my heart set on this custom Coco guitar from Cordoba. With its small skull details on the head and body and impressive sound, it’s the perfect instrument for anyone to seize their moment!"
Shelby, Sr. Manager Content Strategy: "I have wanted this bag for so long because I love the color, and especially love how cute Mickey is riding his motorcycle. I go kind of subtle with my Disney Style, so I like that this red bag is like 'BAM' with its bright red pop of color."
Sophia, Audience Development Coordinator: “I would love this adorable Minnie pillow. My minimalist home is in dire need of this subtle yet classic touch of Disney. Plus, you can never go wrong with a little Minnie style!”
*adds Pendleton blanket, Minnie jacket, and Snow white socks to the list*
