If you didn’t already know this, Mary Poppins is extremely wise. She’s not only practically perfect in every way, she doles out the best words of wisdom to anyone she comes across. Who can forget that a spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down, and if you don’t know what to say, just say “supercalifragilisticexpialidocious?” That’s because Mary Poppins is pretty much the smartest magical nanny we’ve ever known.
We were watching Mary Poppins recently, and this particular quote of hers stuck with us. It’s a simple reminder that we all need every once in a while: never judge a book (or carpetbag in this case) by its cover.
