Caprice Cole Mixes Disney Style With a Bold Fashion Sense We Love

We love Disney Style fangirl Caprice Cole‘s bold and colorful fashion sense! We asked Caprice a few questions about why she loves Disney style and what makes hers unique.

Caprice, you have such a bold and beautiful style! You call yourself a “professional pattern mixer” on Instagram; can you tell us what that means to you?

From tassels, to tweed and every fabric in between, I love bold patterns and colors. Finding fresh ways to mix and match unconventional pieces is my favorite. I literally end up looking at my wardrobe choices and thinking,”I love this skirt and this shirt, I don’t think this will work, but I’m going for it!”

What do you love most about Disney style?

The endless possibilities! I definitely challenge myself to pack the most whimsical combinations when headed to Disneyland or the Walt Disney World Resort. I mean, can you think of a better place to have fun with fashion?

We love your big, bold, beautiful skirts, but tell us why they’re practical for the Parks?

I love wearing a big skirt or a long dress at the Parks. They’re so comfortable and 100% twirl friendly. It’s also my way of staying covered from the sun without the restriction of wearing pants. Plus, holding up your skirt while you get on and off of an attraction makes me feel like Cinderella boarding her pumpkin carriage or going down the ball steps.

What is your go-to Park accessory?

Ears are an absolute Disney Park essential. Jewelry and accessories (especially bags) are a fun way to incorporate a hint of magic, too.

What would you say you are most known for amongst friends?
Fulfilling my wanderlust dreams in kaleidoscopic places wearing psychedelic things!

Do you design and create your own pieces, too?

Yes, I do! I began sewing when I was 7 years old. I couldn’t always find what I was looking for when shopping with my momma (sometimes I still can’t) so I just make what I want!

What fashion advice do you want to give others?

Just be you! I’ve definitely been bullied for my style. But I refused to alter myself to be like anyone else. You are amazing exactly as you are, and being different with fashion makes you stand out in the best way. And for my pattern-mixing beginners, a great rule of thumb is to stick to one color story, or start with a Mickey tee and an easy pattern like leopard print, florals, or stripes!
