Halloween is just right around the corner and if you’re like me, it may have crept up on you! Since the time is drawing near for everyone to don fun costumes, I thought I’d share with you some last-minute ideas inspired by characters from one of my favorite films of the year – Disney’s Christopher Robin!
Pooh, Eeyore, Tigger, and Piglet are such classic characters, and make great candidates for putting together easy pieces you probably already have in your closet or could find from your favorite retailers. I took inspiration from the characters’ colors, textures, and patterns to highlight their unique attributes!
For this silly old bear’s look, I layered a red cropped sweater with a yellow overalls dress. What really makes this look sweet as a smackerel of honey is the addition of some Pooh ears and a travel balloon! Also, if you need something to carry all of your necessities, you can take an old cross body bag and give it new life by painting the word “hunny” on it. This is a costume that’s just as comfortable as it is cute!
When it comes to last-minute costumes, sometimes you have to get creative with what you have. For everyone’s favorite curmudgeon, I incorporated his tail detail by just clipping a pink hair bow onto the strap of grey overalls. This, layered with a fuzzy grey and black sweater and black tassel earrings will even have the Heffalumps admiring your look! And I found this great textured sweater to mimic his fuzzy exterior from the film!
The wonderful thing about Tigger is that he is such a fun character to channel for Halloween! I paired a simple orange striped dress with a faux fur jacket to make this look fun and fashionable. I added pom-pom ears and cool green glasses since he has such green eyes in the movie. You can say “TTFN” as you bounce right out of the house in your Tigger-ific look!
Piglet boasts such a sweet and cozy look in Disney’s Christopher Robin that not only make this a fun costume, but a cute fall look. This knit sweater paired with a corduroy pink skirt and tights is a look taken right out of the movie. To complete the costume, just add some Piglet ears and a burgundy scarf! You can also include a little basket with some acorns to add that extra thoughtful touch!
Hope you liked my looks; I can’t wait to see yours this Halloween season!
Disney’s Christopher Robin comes out on Digital and Blu-ray Nov 6.
