If we could travel back in time, we would definitely want to visit Disneyland in the 1950s and 1960s. Not only would it be amazing to see the Park in its early years, but we’d get to dress to the nines, just like visitors did in those eras and live out our fashion Disney dreams.
Well, that dream is a little closer to reality thanks to the first Disneyland After Dark event: Throwback Nite on January 18! This after-hours, one night only event will transport you back to the ‘50s and ‘60s with specialty entertainment, themed food, collectible merchandise and exclusive Park access. And of course, you have to look the part, so we put together five vintage-inspired outfits to help you plan your ensemble for the event!
You can make it pink, or make it blue with this outfit inspired by Sleeping Beauty. A cloche hat and gloves are must-have accessories for this throwback event.
A wool pencil skirt and sweater will keep you cozy while watching “Fantasy in The Sky” or enjoying a trip on the Jungle Cruise. Add a classic pair of Mickey ears alongside ladylike accessories for a chic look.
We love how ladies of this era would always match their accessories to their dresses, so pick a color and go crazy! A matching hat, shoes, and dress are the key to a dapper look.
Since the event runs from 8:00 PM to 1:00 AM, you might want a jacket to keep you warm! Embrace a coat and build your outfit around it like we did for this Alice-inspired look.
There’s nothing like wearing a vintage-inspired outfit on a Disneyland opening day attraction! Let a classic attraction inspire your look like this ensemble we created inspired by Peter Pan’s Flight! Add accessories like earrings and a fascinator to complete the look.
