Have you been watching grown-ish on Freeform yet? Because we are all about it. This is the show we’ve been waiting for. It’s clever, it’s relatable, and—the obvious favorite—it’s fashionable. After just two episodes, we’re already in love with all of Zoey’s outfits, and can’t stop raving about the wardrobe choices made for this show. Let’s dissect, shall we? This printed off-the-shoulder smock top and high-waisted denim shorts look is definitely an outfit we’ll be sporting this summer. Only someone as confident and cool as Zoey Johnson could sport an asymmetric ruffled camel pant to her first week of college. Right? Check out the look on her face—tons of confidence. We’re inspired. Then there’s the casual placement of designer fashion, done in tasteful streetwear styles. Kenzo, Opening Ceremony, and Balenciaga—to name a few—made their way into the first two episodes, and are all brands best known for turning out punchy, of-the-moment pieces for the street style-savvy.
Aside from Zoey’s post-worthy style, we’re learning that we’re going to love Anna’s looks, too. This jacket and skirt combo is a cool college girl’s rendition of suiting, and we’re so here for it.We’re also gauging some of Zoey’s signature style pieces. Big earrings and headbands pair perfectly with comfy sweaters and chic hairstyles.
We’re pretty excited about each of the character’s styles, and in college, standing out in style is not easy. So while navigating through college may not be easy, for this group, dressing the part certainly seems to be.
