One of the reasons why Disney and fashion work so well together is that each has a magical quality. The timeless Disney stories we all love are filled to the brim with magical moments. Fashion, and in particular, couture gowns, can have an ethereal element to them that sparkles as much as Cinderella’s blue ballgown.
And at the Paolo Sebastian Spring/Summer 2018 show, Australian designer Paul Vasileff combined the magic that we know and love from our favorite Disney stories along with his signature dreamy aesthetic, to create a collection of gowns that you’ll definitely be swooning over.
The show, appropriately titled “Once Upon a Dream,” featured 34 one-of-a-kind dresses inspired by Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Belle, and more. We also loved that there were Snow White-inspired gowns, perfectly timed for the film’s 80th anniversary later this year.
Stay tuned to Disney Style, as we’ll have more behind the scenes from the Paolo Sebastian show soon!
