Whenever you see Mickey Mouse, it’s hard not to have a smile on your face. And it’s exactly that sort of gleeful reaction you get when you see Mickey that inspired Austrian designer Lena Hoschek to include him and his best pals in her collection at Berlin Fashion Week.
Known for her unique take on classic, feminine design, Hoschek created a carefree, colorful world for her Autumn/Winter show, that took inspiration from the ’50s, ’70s, ’80s, and ’90s. The result is a collection that’s playful and full of joy, just like Mickey himself. As Hoschek explained:
My aim in creating this collection was to set reason to one side and do things purely out of fun. It was important for me to focus on zest for life and to convey a sense of great optimism with my collection.
