We Love How This Fashion Blogger Re-Invents Vintage Disney Pieces

Take a tip from fashion maven Claude-Alicia Guerin-Roy of Conscience Coupable on how to transform your vintage Disney pieces into fashion-forward street-style looks.

If you’re a huge Disney and fashion fan like me, you probably love searching through flea markets and stores for vintage Disney pieces. After digging through what I like to call my parents’ “best of the ’90s” drawers, I found a few vintage Disney pieces that are super easy to style today for the perfect throwback look.

As a young lass, I fell in love with this Minnie Mouse baseball jersey my father used to wear while watching the parade at Walt Disney World. It makes a great statement tucked into high-waisted jeans. This varsity jersey feels rooted in sportswear, and is an easy way to show off my tomboy aesthetic, while still representing one of my favorite fashion icons!

It’s not everyday that you find multiple characters you love all on one sweater! I found this gem and knew it would be the perfect piece to add to my collection, despite how warm it is in Florida. I paired it with a denim mini skirt and boots to give the adorable character appliqué an edgier overall look.

I found these old-school denim overalls in a flea market in Amsterdam, and needless to say, it was love at first sight. I describe overalls as my second skin and adding a pair starring Mickey Mouse to my collection felt like a blessing from above. I styled it with a semi-sheer blouse to give the heavy denim look a lightweight contrast.

One of my favorite parts of wearing vintage pieces is that you can buy things oversized. I love wearing baggier pieces to get that laid back, effortless feel that’s comfortable for the Parks—like wearing an oversized jersey as a mini dress!

This jacket is another piece courtesy of my dad’s closet, and is—get ready for this—reversible! Layering it on top of a slip dress makes it more appropriate for an outfit today (and for the warm weather). Even just tying a statement piece like this around your waist gives it a cool ’90s vibe.

Dressing up vintage has always been part of my everyday wear, and implementing it into my Disney style is so much fun! It gives me a chance to reminisce fond memories of my family in the Parks while keeping my looks laid back and cool. Plus, there’s nothing I love more than to take a piece with so much history and to make new memories of your own wearing them!

We’re definitely going to head to the vintage stores to find Disney style treasures this weekend! For more from Claude-Alicia, check out her blog!
