With a litany of strong female characters to choose from, going as a Disney heroine for Halloween has never been easier. That being said, because there are so many costume possibilities, it can be hard to decide which one is best for you. That’s why we put together this quiz, with results ranging from Princesses, to anthropomorphic animals, to even a Disney Channel character or two.
Here’s the sitch — be prepared to receive a ton of compliments when you dress as Disney Channel’s bold crimefighting teen, Kim Possible. With your black turtleneck and cargo pants, the nostalgia factor will be serious #goals. This Halloween bring the sass as Marie from The Aristocats! An easy costume, you just need a white top and pants, and a couple of pink bows. Shut up, shut up! The best part of this costume is that it’s probably already in your closet. Pull out your blue dress shirt and pleated skirt, and you’re done. Everyone and their mother has seen someone wearing Elsa’s “Let It Go” outfit as a Halloween costume, so why not switch things up by going as Frozen‘s other heroine? Adorable awkwardness not included. This Halloween, you can be anything, so why not go as everyone’s favorite rabbit officer, Judy Hopps? You’ll need rabbit ears and a blue police costume. Maybe bring along a plush fox, or a few carrots. Live out your middle school dreams by dressing as Lizzie McGuire! Grab that inflatable backpack your mother stored away in the attic, and complete the outfit with flared jeans, a pink top, and a few butterfly clips. Super sweet and a bit sour, Vanellope von Schweetz is the kind of costume you can easily put together with clothing from your closet (hoodie, skirt, leggings). Add some hair gems, a red hair clip, and you’re ready to go! This Halloween pull on a white top and pants, and get busy with a bold blue eyeshadow. If you want to really impress people, make sure you carry around a green plant. A turtleneck sweater, blue leggings, and glasses — Sadness is simple. You can add a blue wig as well, but most importantly, you’re going to want to practice your best apathetic frown. This classic costume has been a Halloween staple for many moons. Choose a cornflower blue dress and layer it under a white shirt for Belle’s look. Extra points for a wicker basket and a few books! A Sally Halloween costume is what people like to call a “new classic.” Going as Sally requires effort, but the payoff in amazed reactions will be totally worth it. Atlantis‘ Kida proves that Elsa isn’t the only Disney character who can pull off a light blue outfit. Be ready for a flurry of “who are you?” questions and subsequent conversations. Princess Jasmine is the kind of costume you wear throughout different life stages — as a child, as a teen, and as an adult. It’s as simple as a pair of turquoise harem pants, a crop top, and a headband!
