I love getting outdoors. The last time I went out hiking, though? It didn’t end well. I hit the trail at 10 a.m. and enjoyed a great climb up some local hills, then found myself at home a few hours later, standing in front of my mirror examining the worst sunburn I can remember. I don’t typically burn, but I should have known better. Luckily, you don’t have to learn the hard way. Inspired by Disney’s upcoming Pete’s Dragon, we’ve prepared a summer hiking guide we hope the film’s forest ranger lead, Grace (Bryce Dallas Howard), and fashionistas alike would approve of.
1. Osprey Daypack, 2. Pete’s Dragon Trucker Hat, 3. Patagonia Jacket, 4. Pete’s Dragon Pins, 5. Lululemon Leggings, 6. Danner Hiking Boots, 7. Honest Mineral Sunscreen, 8. Pete’s Dragon Water Bottle, 9. Lululemon Running Shorts, 10 & 11. Lululemon Runner’s Tops
In addition to a daypack and the cutest Pete’s Dragon accessories available, we’ve included a couple options for tops and shorts. If you’ll be walking or running a wide, sandy trail, running shoes and normal exercise shorts should suffice. If you’ve a heftier hike in mind, however, make sure to choose apparel with more coverage and water-resistant shoes.
And for the love of Disney—wear sunscreen.
