Street Style Stalking at Disneyland With Leslie Kay

Have you noticed lately that everyone us seriously upping their fashion game at the Parks? We’ve been having a blast dressing for the fashionable photo op that is Disneyland, and it looks like you have been too. On a recent trip, we asked Leslie Kay of DisneyBound to spot her favorite street style looks from around the Disneyland Resort. Here’s what she had to say…

The Disney Style team and I spent a day walking through the Parks on the West Coast hunting down those rocking some great outfits. Weʼve seen 90ʼs trends making a comeback over the last year or so, with this year being strongly influenced by that hip and grungy decade! As a Disney fashion blogger, it is part of my job to keep an eye on the looks which you see while walking through Disneyland. From Dapper Day to the every day, there is one thing that cannot be denied, Disneyland is becoming a fashion hot spot.

When you can combine hip and sporty with boho chic, you know you ooze a sense of style. I love the wide-brimmed fedora with raglan tee and printed harem pants combination. It says comfort without forgetting to look great. The bold sporty jersey is a fantastic statement piece, and the matching Converse shoes are the cherry on top of a fashionable sundae!

These girls are showing that sometimes, less is more. 90ʼs grunge is back and in a big way and between the round sunglasses and denim jacket, these girls are pulling off simplicity from the past perfectly.

Keeping with the 90’s grunge trend, a plaid flannel is a great way to keep yourself warm on the chillier days at Disneyland. This “Second Star” flannel from Cakeworthy x DisneyBound allowed me to show off my #DisneySide while staying warm.

Running shoes are making a strong comeback in casual fashion. What a great way to be comfortable and stylish while walking down Main Street, U.S.A! Her backwards hat and oversized tee is a fantastic way to incorporate the grunge look weʼre seeing at Disneyland.

Shades of grey, neutrals and pastels were popular in the 90ʼs and they are back again. Sheʼs keeping it simple in head-to-toe black look, with her black and white Nikeʼs which will be one of the more popular sneakers in the spring. I particularly love her scuba-style tank with a high neck-line!

From the backwards hat to the pop of maroon on her Vans sneakers, her outfit was rocking many of these 90ʼs trends we spotted. The thing I loved the most about her outfit was her “Mickey Clean” mens tank, from Neffʼs Disney Collection, which has her really standing out.

One thing we will start to see more and more of, especially in the coming spring and summer months, is destroyed denim. The hole-ier, the better! I love how sheʼs paired gothic chic, with her wide-brimmed fedora, and oversized sunglasses, with a simpler “California girl in the winter” style, from the neck down.

For about a year now, weʼve been seeing the flannel tied around the waist, and weʼll still be seeing a lot of that this year. Itʼs a trend perfect for the parks – especially with hotter afternoons that cool off quickly as the sun goes down. The Minnie Mouse ears are an adorable touch!
