Fall Trends Inspired By Disney Movies

Fall has finally arrived, which means capes, gloves, and wide-brimmed hats! Seriously though, dressing for colder weather (unless you are stuck in this heat wave like we are) is so much fun. Which is why we put together five fall looks inspired by some of our favorite Disney movies. So get to layering and be as excited as we are about these fall fashion trends!

1. Cold Weather

For this first fall look we turned to Brave for inspiration. We could totally see Merida staying warm in a faux fur-trimmed cape and a green tassel scarf. To pack up your books and items (or hide pastries for mischievous brothers) a sturdy bag is in order. We think these black boots effortlessly help elevate your look as well. Try to tame your hair with a cute bow knit-band and express your style with some seriously banging bracelets. Just don’t trade any to an old witch carver please.

2. Borrowed from the Boys

We felt very supercalifragilisticexpialidocious (phew) putting this outfit together. Mary Poppins would absolutely rock this oversized grey chunky cardigan and red scarf. In addition, we thought that oxford flats and a black wide-brimmed hat are fantastic ways to stylishly wear the menswear trend. This carpetbag is a must have and will dashingly hold everything you need and then some. Oh and make sure not to forget your black umbrella in case of a rainy day or when it comes time for you to float away.

3. Everything Is Coming Up Pastel

Pastels have been a big statement for fall and who better to embody this style then Marie from the Aristocats! The sparkly green shoes could not be more puurfect for prancing around and chasing after your pesky kitty siblings…we mean brothers. The powder-blue woolen coat is a charming item that will protect you from the cold. And who says florals are just for springtime, certainly not Marie, or Duchess. This floral pastel skirt will definitely be a wear-now and wear-later piece. Add a statement necklace and a bag that packs just the right amount of sass (in pink too) and you are good to go be fabulous.

4. Nature Time

For this fabulous look we didn’t need to steal from the rich like our inspired movie hero. Nab Robin Hood’s classic style with a cargo green shirt and cuffed chinos pants. Cognac booties and a slouchy olive green beanie really seal the deal and we couldn’t resist adding dainty gold jewelry (an arrow no less) to balance out the look. For some reason we feel like Little John would totally approve of this red crossbody fringe bag.

5. On Point

For this final fall look we turned to Anita from 101 Dalmatians. She knew how to rock matching separates and we think this dress has a fresh modern take on the style. The D’Orsay style flat is very fall-esque, while still being practical for walking (or being walked by all of those Dalmatians). We also thought that the burgundy gloves are chic for the colder days. Cat-eyed sunglasses and a fun colorful felt hat are a perfect way to experiment and make the outfit your own. A black leather tote finishes the look and is transitional for day or night.
