Disney Inspiration for the Best First Day of School Outfit

There’s a lot of things we love about going back to school. Picking out school supplies, choosing a new backpack, shopping for clothes, it’s pretty much everything we love to do on a regular basis, but we’re allowed to use the excuse, “it’s for school, so obviously I can buy these four pretty notebooks.” Whether you’re prepping for the first day, or just love the idea of back to school like we do, we’ve put together some Disney-inspired outfits that will be perfect for the hallways (or office ways!)

We’re not fashion scientists, but we’re pretty sure a classic Mickey sweatshirt, a patterned skirts and a pair of booties is the perfect outfit combination. Why? It’s the ideal balance for A/C overloaded classrooms/offices, but still functional should the weather outside be warmer. A stylish tote and a fancy legal pad are great alternatives to your usual back to school fare.

We know that back to school is often associated with Fall, but in some places, the start of school only means the continuation of summer weather. Thankfully, this breezy shirt dress and comfy sandals will keep you looking cool, even if the leaves aren’t falling yet.

Heading back to school would be slightly more fun if all of our school supplies were in such a cute bag. We obviously went for a purple top, in honor of Rapunzel, which looks great with this chambray circle skirt. Actually, everything looks good with this chambray circle skirt. These flower earrings don’t gleam and glow, but they are still pretty cute.

Adding Disney Princess accessories to an outfit can be tricky if your personal style isn’t exactly girly. Little girls at the Parks have it so easy! They can just show up in their favorite princess dress and they’re good to go. Grown ups have to work a bit harder. That’s why we mixed a more relaxed outfit, ripped jeans and a cable knit (fall is almost here!) with an Ariel backpack and midi rings inspired by The Little Mermaid. Did you notice the tiny dinglehopper ring? It’s amazing.

Who says pastels weren’t meant for autumn? Well, we certainly don’t and we’re all for bending the color rules a little. Plus, with a pen that says “you’re better than unicorns,” you’ll have the confidence to pull off any outfit.
