It’s no secret that we absolutely cannot wait to see the upcoming live-action retelling of Beauty and the Beast. With everything we’ve seen so far, we can already tell it’s going to be absolutely gorgeous. Today we were treated to a further glimpse into the world of the film with concept art of Emma Watson as Belle, in a reimagining of the iconic blue dress that we have all come to know and love. Costume Designer Jacqueline Durran, who designed costumes for Pride and Prejudice (2005), Anna Karenina (2012), and Atonement, also designed costumes for the live-action Beauty and the Beast and we are in absolute awe of her conceptualization of Belle:
We love the details in this concept art of Emma Watson, including the texturized apron and the colorful cloths draped from her waist. We also love the addition of boots and stockings to Belle’s look. This is further proof that Emma Watson was absolutely meant to play Belle. We cannot wait to see this look come to life when the movie comes to theaters in March 2017.
This amazing concept art and more are included in the Bonus Features on the 25th Anniversary Edition of the animated version of Beauty and the Beast, which is available now on Digital HD and Disney Movies Anywhere, and on Blu-ray on September 20.
