It’s officially fall, and Halloween is right around the corner. While most of my bright neon polishes are stowed away, Halloween offers an opportunity to break free from autumn neutrals. And what better character is there than Sally to kick off this spooky season! Her patchwork dress and unique color palette are a treasure trove of inspiration for a Nightmare Before Christmas mani. Pair that with a simple color block technique, and you have a manicure that will last through October 31st.

Hair + Face
Sally’s bright red hair is an amazing pop of color against her dusty, light blue skin. OPI Big Apple Red and Essie Udon Know Me are a great starting point for this look.
Dress
Let’s just talk about how much we love Sally’s dress! Not only is she adorable in it, but it’s also an incredibly fun pattern to paint. I picked out cream polishes by Chanel, Butter London, and Nars for the black, teal, and mustard patches. To add texture, Zoya Rory is the exact shade of magenta with a shimmer finish.
Details
The most iconic part of Sally’s look is her patchwork dress. While you can grab the right shades of yellow, magenta, and teal, the look wouldn’t be complete without the black thread! I love the idea of this BMC shimmering black striper to add a bit of personality to the finishing touch.
