Summer is here in full swing, and it’s time to start rocking bright, sunny manicures! Lilo & Stitch always reminds me of how much I love this season, with its gorgeous beaches and cutest summer style, so it’s really the ideal inspiration for chic, warm weather nail art. Stitch’s two-tone coloring was the main inspiration for this Lilo & Stitch nail art, and I had to make sure Lilo’s tropical red dress made it into the final design!
In addition to this being a super fun manicure for summer, it’s the perfect shades of red, white, and blue to rock on Fourth of July!
- The two-tone blue design inspired by Stitch is called a Ruffian technique. It might sound fancy, but it’s basically a reverse French manicure!
- To create the Ruffian design, load up your brush with extra polish and place in the center of your nail, just above the cuticle. Gradually apply more pressure as you drag the brush toward the tip, which will give you the tapered inner design.
- Your tropical leaf accent nail is an opportunity to get creative! I went with a more minimal, geometric version of the leaves, but you can definitely play around with them.
